The web design and development industry has been born from two fundamentally different areas of expertise and interest. Graphic design agencies logically saw links between their existing business and its application to an emerging electronic medium, while technology companies drove the capabilities behind that medium.

At e-IGNiTION, we like to think that we have a foot in both camps. Our designers come from an artistic background, with a flair for imagery, colour and graphic composition, while many of our staff have backgrounds in the wider fields of technology and formal IT Project Management.

Development Methodologies to Suit your Requirement

e-IGNiTION’s Project Management Team come from a background in the UK military, where, as you might expect, a rigorous approach to requirements gathering, systems analysis and design and project management ensures that targets are met with accuracy and efficiency. Prince 2 and SSADM (Waterfall) are solid methodologies to ensure tight control of your project, although they could be regarded as overkill for a smaller website development. So we are happy to discuss how Critical Path Project Management, Agile, Dynamic Systems Design Methodology (DSDM) and Rapid Application Development (RAD) or others can be implemented as more flexible tools for software development.

Of course it may well be that you don’t mind how we control your project; you may insist that our work with you is all about results. If that’s the case, we’ll tailor our approach to ensure that your targets and goals are met to deadline and on budget.
